Wow, time flies!  Your Dad and I have been married for 4 years today, and together for 10… A DECADE.  I guess that means we’re old!!   This anniversary was your Dad’s turn to plan it (we take turns each year).  He surprised me by planning a weekend in downtown Louisville.  We stayed at the 21c Hotel, which is also an art museum!  21c has these red penguins that roam around the hotel.  One night we got a phone call telling us we had a penguin delivery so we opened our door to find this guy staring at us!  Me may have borrowed him for some pictures inside our room!

Your Dad took me out to yummy lunches &  fancy dinners (my favorite was Vincenzo’s yummm!), and we got massages.  We spent our days visiting museums around Louisville.  We hit the Louisville Slugger museum, Glassworks factory (we got to make our own christmas ornament!), the Speed Art Museum, we tried our luck at the Casino in Indiana, and ate at Huber’s farm, we went to an art fair and in general just really enjoyed being together.   We talked a lot about you, and how excited we are for you to be here.

We bought our own little penguin who has been traveling around our house since we got home.  Your Dad or myself will move it to a new spot and see how long it takes the other person to notice.  It’s a nice reminder of our anniversary! 

Tonight we will toast “To Us” in our crystal toasting glasses from our wedding night.  This year we will be toasting with sparkling apple cider instead of champagne!    We had such a great time planning our wedding, and honeymoon.  We knew one day we would be starting a family.  And now that time is here!
