Sticky Rainbow 1

Dear Sticky Rainbow,

Today Daddy and I saw you on the ultrasound for the second time!  We could see your heart beating away at 182 bpm.   Right now you look pretty much like a tadpole with a huge head, but don’t worry, you’ll be more proportionate by the time you’re born!   You’ll always be cute to your Mom and Dad.  You’re about the size of a raspberry right now.   Have I ever told you why we call you Sticky Rainbow?  Rainbow is what comes when the sun shines after a dark stormy time.  You’re our rainbow baby!   “Sticky”  is because we want you to stick in Mommy’s belly and grow, grow, grow!

I’ll tell you what Little One, you have been making Mommy veeeerrrrrrrryyyyyyyy sick.   It’s been a struggle.  I’m happy that you’re healthy, but you are definitely making me pay.  It must be karma for all the back-talking I did to my parents when I was a kid!  I’ve been feeling so bad with morning sickness that I can barely even drink fluids without throwing it back up.  Morning and night time are the worst, and luckily I have been okay (kind of) at work so far.  I’ve been eating a lot of saltines (I am SO tired of those freaking crackers I could puke just thinking about them).  I’ve also been wearing my SeaBands that help me feel less nauseous.   I hope it gets better soon!   The Dr. gave me some supposedly safe medicine to take if it ever gets too bad, but I haven’t taken any yet.   I’m only going to take it in dire situations, Mommy doesn’t want you to have two heads!   Just kidding (sort of!)
