Well here we are folks! The 2nd trimester!  I’m excited to reach this milestone for several reasons….. mainly our chance of miscarriage drops to near zero, but also my morning sickness should be going away soon.  ANY DAY NOW.  Seriously Go the F away!  Today I am 13 weeks 3 days pregnant.  There is much debate on when the actual 2nd trimester starts.  Is it 12 weeks (which is what I always thought it was), is it 13 weeks, 13.3 weeks, or 14 weeks?   The most accurate way is to divide the length of a pregnancy (40 weeks) by 3.  This roughly equals 13 weeks and 3 days.  ANYWAYS, here we are.  The 2nd Trimester

To Our Baby,

You are continuing to grow, next week we will get to hear your heartbeat again, and then on Valentines Day we will find out if you are a boy or a girl!!  We are so excited.  I think it will all become real then.  We will decide on a name, decorate your nursery, and go shopping for you (oh! the shopping!).   It’s so strange how time moves so slow when I’m hunched over a toilet (thanks for that), but I can’t believe we’re already within weeks of finding out if we are going to have a son or a daughter.    We’ll see you again on Feb 14th, even though you won’t see us.  Stay safe Little One!
