As we near the end of this pregnancy, and as we are preparing to bring you into our lives, I’m reflecting back on Lucas’ birth. Your mother’s pregnancy with Lucas, much like her pregnacy with you, was very hard on her. So, as it wound down we were very eager to bring him home. The moment he was born, I remember it being the best feeling ever. I’m excited that I get to experience it again! Before we became pregnant with you, I thought, “How could I ever have this amount of love, that I have for Lucas, for another child?”. But now, as we are nearing the beginning of your beautiful life, I already have that same feeling of love, and know that every moment we spend with you will be just as special. You are our second child, but in no way second in our hearts. The love we have for you is immeasurable and incomparable, and I cannot wait to share it with you!
