Sept 2014

Dear Lucas,

September was a busy and exciting month for you.  First, we found out you were going to have a baby SISTER!  You had been telling us the whole time it was a baby girl.  I’m so glad you were right!  We are so so so excited, and you love to tell me what’s in Mama’s belly.

Moving on, to start the month the weather has been beautiful, and I’m finally starting to feel a little bit better from your baby sister beating up on me.  We have been to playgrounds, and farms, and all sorts of fun stuff.  You love love love to ride your bike.  You would ride it all around town if we let you.  You’re really good on it too.  You went to your first Circus (Barnum & Bailey) this month and thought it was fascinating!  We had front row tickets and you were enthralled the whole time.  Your favorite part was when the clowns made a “BIG mess” right in front of us.  You talked about that big mess for the next couple of days.

Another major highlight of your month- PopPop, Grammy, and Uncle Joey (Munkle JoeJoe) all came back in to town!  The whole Coe family was back together again.  You LOVED hanging out with everyone, and it was so much fun to see you interact with them.  Oh and you also got to go to your very first Louisville Cardinals football game, complete with tailgating beforehand.  You loved it!  You threw the football during tailgating and waved your pom-pom and cheered and clapped along with the crowd like you had attending games your whole life.  Of course your shirt said “Born and Bred Cardinal”.  That’s right!    More big news from the Coe Family Front- you are going to have a new baby cousin! Your Muncle Mike and Deanna are having a baby about 3 weeks after your little sister will be born.   How fun!   They even made you a cute little jersey that says “New Cousin to Bee” with a little bee flying on it.

Overall you had a great month!  A baby sister, a baby cousin, Grammy, Pop Pop, all your uncles, aunts, U of L football, and all your outside activities.  You are one happy boy :)  We love you, and don’t you worry one little bit- you’ll always be my baby!
