Hey Baby,
We asked all of our friends and family to help us research who the very best pediatric neurosurgeon is for you. Everyone pulled together and we’ve decided on Dr Moriarty at Kosair Children’s Hospital in Louisville. Your CT scan and consult with Dr Moriarty are on Wednesday to discuss your possible craniosynostosis. There is still a chance that you do not have it, we won’t know until we see the results of the CT scan. But for now all signs point to you having it. We’re so sad that you may have to go through all of this. At least we know that I had it 31 years ago, and I turned out okay. The technology has come a lot farther since then, and I’m sure with all the medical advancements that have been made, you will be just fine.
Here are some pictures of me after my surgery showing my scar, and another picture with Pop (your great-grandfather) holding me with my head all bandaged up. We’re still holding out hope that by some miracle they say that you’re fine! We love you baby boy!
Sarah
you also have some pictures of you wearing a pink and white stripped stocking hat. very cute looking, like a pink candy cane baby. Your Granny and Pop loved you even more after your operation. And you are right, you did turn out okay!
