There are so many firsts to write about baby boy.  I don’t even know where to begin.  Your Dad and I spend a lot of time just staring at you.  You are such a beautiful baby.  We get choked up often just looking at you together.  Our little family.

You got your first diaper change by Dad.  Your Grandaddy and Aunt Jera drove up from Tennessee to meet you, and lots of your Aunties came to visit you on that first day.   You passed your hearing test, and generally were just adorable.  When visitors were not holding you, you mostly just laid on my chest.   No matter how fussy you were, as soon as you laid on me, you quieted down.  My heart rate and breathing must sound familiar to you from all those months on the inside!    That first full day you went on an eating hiatus.  You were so tired, and didn’t really have any interest in food whatsoever.  We had several lactation consultants stop in to try to help, but you just wanted to sleep!  Lazy boy
