Hi my Lucas Walter,

The month of November (and let’s be honest, half of December already but we’ll just focus on November for now haha) have already flown by.   You definitely know what you like and don’t like, and you’re not afraid to voice your opinion.   Your favorite food right now is banana.  If you see one, you repeatedly beg for a nana nana nana naaanaaaaaaa until we give you one.   Most mornings you will eat 1.5-2 scrambled eggs plus at least half of a ‘nana or a pear.   Sometimes you’d rather have the trusty whole wheat blueberry waffle with almond butter.   I think I jinxed us by saying you were a good sleeper last month, because this month you’re terrible!  I’m not sure if it’s teething, or sickness, or separation anxiety, but you only want to sleep in bed with us, and you will keep waking up screaming unless we abide by your wishes *sigh.*   You really like to have all your people you love in one room together.  If Daddy walks out of the room, you will say Dada Dada Dada? Dada?  DADA?!? DAAADAAAAA  until he comes back.  At first it hurt my feelings until I realized you did the same thing for me if I walk out of the room.  Mama Mama Mama Mama? Mama? MAMA!?! MAAAAMAAAAA    Then you say DadaMamaDadaMamaDadaMamaDadaMama like you’re so happy we’re all back together in one room again.   If you drop something you try to say “Whoops!” but you actually say “whoosh! whoosh!”  it’s so cute.  Although not as cute when you’re purposely throwing your fork on the floor and exclaiming ‘whoosh!’

You love to play with your blocks, and your kitchen, and of course your basketball (any type of ball).  You’re not into coloring, you really like to just throw and break the crayons.  You do love to drum on things and dance to any music that is playing.   In fact over Thanksgiving you were jamming out with your Dad, Grammy, Aunt Katie, and Uncles Michael and Joey and you learned to play the harmonica!  One little problem is you think it’s played with your nose hahahaha!    You are meeeeeean to poor Annabelle so she still hates you.  Except for when you throw food on the floor, then she likes you.

In November you had your 3rd hair cut so you’d look all spiffy to see Grammy and Uncle Joey who were back in town!  You have loved getting showered with all of the attention!    This month you have visited with lots of friends in Louisville (hi Ella, Ben, Koen, Cade, Emersyn and Lucy! )  You also had your first visit to the Louisville Zoo, which you LOVED.  We even got lucky enough to be taken behind the scenes and met some animals up close and personal.     We love to do new fun things, and have you experience lots of new activities.  You also got to go to the Explorium Children’s Museum in Lexington, and also the Louisville Science Museum for the first time and had a blast at both.    You also got to walk across (well actually you were pushed in a stroller) across the Big Four Bridge that stretches across the Ohio River from Kentucky to Indiana.   You have loved getting to spend time with your Grammy and your Aunt Katie, and Uncle Michael and Joey.   And you are one very loved little boy.   You light up our lives in everything you do.  We love you!
