Mid Month Update (6.5 months)….

You are 6.5 months old, and just wanted to let you know that you now have 2 teeth! The other bottom front one finally broke the surface. You also sipped some water out of your first sippy cup.  Oh, and last weekend we survived Poopageddon 2013 today…. you had a huuuuuuuge poop (thanks prunes), and Daddy tried to change you before you were done (he never listens to me!)  you pooped all over his hands (and your outfit, and your table).   And then we got you in a clean outfit and you pooped some more!   Lets just say there was lots of poop.  Since Poopageddon 2013 of last weekend, you’ve only pooped once, and which is NOT normal for you, so I have a feeling we may be in for Poopageddon-The Sequel soon.  You are sitting up on your own so much better, although when you get bored of it, you still just kinda topple over. You’re also “talking” more nowadays, in your cute little babbling voice.  In other exciting news, you had your first kiss!  Whaaaaaaaat?  How is this possible??  6 Months old and you’ve already found a younger girl to be your Valentine.  Rylie’s mom said “She is in BIG trouble tonight with her Daddy 😉 she’s grounded for life. ”   Apparently Rylie is okay with you kissing her, as long as you don’t hold her hand, hahaha!

And just last night, you slept in your crib for the very first time!!   Mommy had so much anxiety about not being right next to you, we just love you so much!   Daddy slept in the armchair next to your crib all night long so you wouldn’t be scared… or maybe it’s so WE wouldn’t be scared.   I stared at you on our night vision video monitor, and every time I woke up I would check on you.  One time I looked at the monitor, and you weren’t in the crib anymore so I hopped out of bed to investigate, and you were sleeping on Daddy’s chest.  Can’t you just stay our baby boy forever?

The end of January your Grammy turned 60 and so we went in to Louisville for a surprise birthday party for her.  You love your Grammy!  You also went to your first bar.   Yep, you read that right… a bar!  We were there because Poppy’s restaurant was in the Gravy Cup, and won the People’s Choice award for Best Biscuits and Gravy!!

You are SO BIG, and advanced, even the pediatrician commented on how advanced you are.  We are so proud to be your Mom and Dad.   I’m convinced you are the most loved little boy in the whole wide world.

And here’s a link to a cute little video of you hoarding your blocks :)
