Elyse (our nanny) sent me a story today that I just had to share…  (background to the story:  Jenny is the mom of a new baby who is going to be staying at our house with Lucas during the day!)

“I gave Lucas his bath at 9. He ate at 9:30. Then he went into his jumper and I straightened things up. At 9:45 Jenny said she was heading over. So I try to decide whether to put Lucas to sleep early so he doesn’t miss his nap. I decide to try. He literally starts laughing hysterically. I realize that he may need a diaper change anyway so I give up and go change him. Surprise surprise. It is a poopy diaper that has gone straight up his back! Fortunately it had not gotten onto his clothes. But that was when my luck ended. While I was throwing away his poopy diaper he peed all over himself. He was completely soaked with pee. So, what should I do? Another bath?? I decide a mini sponge bath will be best. So, I put him in his crib with just his diaper on and go to soap up a wash cloth and put his wet clothes in the hamper. When I come back what do I see? Lucas has peed straight out of the top of his new diaper and all over his crib! But, there was nothing I could do about it then so I just gave him his bath, got him dressed and settled in with a toy. After cleaning everything up I go back to try to put Lucas to sleep. He goes down without much of a fight. Within 5 minutes Jenny gets here. Annabelle barks, which of course wakes Lucas up and puts him into party mode.
